This was actually just a pipeline test for myself, I wasn't trying to design any specific interior so I didn't put much thought into the purpose of the room.
I wanted to see if blocking out an interior super quickly in Maya as a starting base would speed up my image creation process (usually I start with a line drawing).. and it cut off a few hours quite successfully and it looks a lot tighter as an image. will definitely use this method again for interior shots in the future.
It also gives a huge amount of flexibility starting something like this in 3D, as you can change the camera angle or lighting with just a few clicks of a button, and some other nice features which translate well into 2D concept art.
I have another painting 99% finished too which I will upload tomorrow after a few touch ups - I think you guys will like it ^^
